NVIDIA: Is Video Memory Collapsing Following RAM?

So what have we been seeing lately? The relentless rise in RAM prices, which has become akin to a new cryptocurrency.
We already have articles on RAM, covering two-fold and three-fold price increases. However, right now we’re focusing on something else.
VIDEO MEMORY! While everyone is buying up RAM, it’s only being distributed to one person, and a shortage is already starting, not everyone realizes that this is only the beginning.
As HP’s CEO stated, prices will rise even more sharply in the second half of 2026 due to the large amount of memory stockpiled and long-term contracts. While prices are currently rising sharply, they won’t rise as much as they will in 2026.
And as is obvious, AI won’t stop using it or have less of it; they will only become more and more demanding. Against this backdrop, NVIDIA owner Huang has, according to numerous leaks, decided to stop supplying video memory along with the chip to graphics card manufacturers.
This means that manufacturers like Gigabyte will have to source their own video memory, which will drive up prices. Even now, the cost of RAM can account for 18% of a computer’s overall cost, leading to a subsequent rise in laptop prices.

The Nvidia RTX 50 Super is a no-no! Many believe so, and with good reason. A closer look reveals that the growing shortage and rising prices are currently only affecting RAM.
However, prices for RAM will soon rise as well! Therefore, the RTX 50 Super will likely be cancelled. But if you suddenly want to buy a computer at a relatively affordable price, you can do so with us.
