Crucial Production Ends
Micron has officially announced the end of production of Crucial consumer RAM.
Micron’s Crucial products, such as SSDs and RAM, are no longer in production, as AI is now a higher priority.
February 2026 marks the end of Crucial’s existence, and official sources state that after that, the brand’s products will no longer be manufactured or supplied.
Sumit Sadana, Micron’s Director of Business Development, states that Micron has made the difficult decision to exit the consumer business due to a desire to increase supply in the AI market.
Micron is a key manufacturer of consumer memory, both RAM and storage. This means that this will only exacerbate the situation with rising prices for storage devices, RAM, and, in the future, graphics cards. The only hope left is Samsung and Hynix, but even they are not going to compensate for the problem by increasing production of the memory.
