NAND price go up after DDR

We’ve already written articles about rising prices for video memory, video cards, and RAM, and now we’re talking about NAND chips.
Let’s start with the basics: what are NAND chips?
NAND is flash memory, which is non-volatile and doesn’t lose data when the power goes out. It’s used in SSDs, USB flash drives, phones, memory cards, and more.
While at first it seemed like the price increase would only slightly affect RAM, it’s quickly becoming clear that it affects all memory layers, not just RAM, but also video memory. Now it’s storage devices’ turn.
Also, amid growing demand for memory, many manufacturers have switched from consumer chips such as DRAM and NAND to HBM and other server memory.
All of this is partly responsible for the price increase in November, as if consumer chip production capacity had been maintained, the price wouldn’t have risen so much. However, with increasing demand for AI, prices will only continue to rise, so it’s likely they won’t stop rising anytime soon.
After all, prices have already increased by 10% this quarter alone, and the increase will only increase. Source: TrendForce
