RAM Price Doubles

So, what’s causing this? Surprisingly, and perhaps even predictably for many, AI is the key factor.
Many AI-powered applications, such as video, image, and text generation, require RAM, and lots of it.
This is leading to a natural rise in RAM prices. And as many analysts report, RAM prices aren’t going to fall.

So, what’s going on?
What’s happening is that prices have been slowly but surely creeping up for an entire year.
But it was during the past month that RAM prices skyrocketed.
For example, the Patriot Viper Elite II DDR4 64GB (2 x 32GB) 3200MHz Kit, which previously cost around €105 in Europe, now costs around €190.
And that’s not all! This RAM is just a random example of how prices have risen, but many similar kits have also skyrocketed in price.

How bad is it?
Looking at many charts for the entire year, it turns out that prices have long since soared past 180% of their levels at the beginning of the year.
And AI is to blame for these sky-high prices; increased demand and increased publicity are driving more people to try their hand at this field.
There are also numerous reports that giants like Samsung, Micron, and Hynix have simply stopped accepting orders for RAM memory from customers.
The outlook for next year is also bleak; they say it will only continue to grow, with no decline planned.
